Cheap flights

Does anyone know the cheapest way to fly to Dubrovnik from North West England?

|||

Try thomsonfly - the offer cheap flights from Manchester to Dubrovnik if this helps at all

Also Flybe go from Birmingham to Dubrovnik.

You did not say exactly which airport you wished to fly from ??

Also try lastminute.co.uk for flights

I have just booked a return flight from Split to the UK (Gatwick) for less than 80 UK pounds return.

Hope you find what you are looking for and have a good trip to beautiful Croatia !!

|||

Sorry should have said I have booked a flight with easyjet from/to Split.

Easyjet also fly from Bristol to Split. It is easy to get bus from Split to Dubrovnik or should you wish to see some of the coastline or stop at one of the islands you can get ferry from Split to Dubrovnik and vice versa.

Thanks for your help.

Hey guys!

I just wanted to let you know about a site i%26#39;ve been using for a few months now,i came across it one day as i was browsing over the net.

It%26#39;s a site created by a fired travel agent now making his money telling everyone how to get dirt cheap flights(up to 75% off).At first i didn%26#39;t believe it and thought it was the usual old blurb trying to get you to buy something totally useless over the net,but trust me it does!!

It%26#39;s been very usefull these past few months as i%26#39;m actually travelling at the moment.

I won%26#39;t say anymore cos it seems like everyone is always trying to sell you stuff over the net nowadays,just that it%26#39;s 24 dollars(about 20 euros) very well spent,

The link is %26lt;a href=%26quot;http://guddealz.session99.hop.clickbank.net/%26quot; target=%26quot;_top%26quot;%26gt;Click Here!%26lt;/a%26gt;

Dubrovonik to Korcula

I am arriging in Dubrovonik on the 3rd September and want to get up to Korcula, would it be possible to hire a car to drive up the coast and get a ferry across, does anyone know of a car hire company, thanks

|||

On some days there is a direct ferry from Dubrovnik to Korcula. It takes 3 hrs.

|||

I just checked it for you,

on Sept.3 there is one ferry going via Mljet

DUBROVNIK 03.09.2008 08:30

SOBRA (MLJET) 03.09.2008 10:25

SOBRA (MLJET) 03.09.2008 10:40

KORČULA 03.09.2008 12:40

|||

thanks very much for checking that, unfortunately we wont get to Dubrovonik on time for that, would we be able to hire a car at the airport and drop it off somewhere up along the coast, i think there is a ferry from Orebic to Korcula that we could get

|||

you can check the ferries over this website

http://www.jadrolinija.hr

Of course you can hire a car at Dubrovnik airport,

but I am not sure, where you can drop it on your way.

|||

Try Sixt in Dubrovnik for car hire. You could rent the car, drive to Orebic and then take the car on a ferry to Korcula. Maybe check with the company to see if there is a place you can drop it off in Korcula or Orebic for that matter. Good luck!

|||

thanks i will check that out

Many thanks

|||

Grašo just across the ACI Marina!

|||

Maybe Le Monde in Varos

|||

My favorites are:

1. Adriatic Aci Graso (http://tinyurl.com/6rvogz)

2. Restaurant Bota Sare (www.bota-sare.hr/split_bacvice.html)

3. Le Monde in Varos (Plinarska 6, 021/322-264)

Hi there, my husband and I would like to travel to Croatia at the end of Sept for around 7 - 10 days. Can anyone suggest a nice B%26amp;B for us to stay in for the first 2 nights, in Dubrovnik. Preferably somewhere on the beach front or nearby!

Regards Laraine

Visas for Coratia

Hi, does anyone know if Visas are required to get into Croatia? My husband holds a South African passport and I hold a British one, we are both living and working in Dubai right now.

If one is needed are they easy to get? We are looking at travelling at the end of Sept. How easy is it to travel to other places whilst there on the one visa (if required)?

|||

South Africans need visa, Britons don’t.

Croatia does not have an embassy in the UAE, the one in charge is in Cairo.

Best Sandy Beaches

I am looking into a holiday in croatia with the family (including a 15 month old baby). Therefore, we want a bit of life, some beautiful scenery, good, reasonbaly priced restaurants and ideally a villa on a sandy beach (sandy beach important) - any suggestions?

Cheers,

|||

Maybe some of the following:

Island Rab Lopar

Island Korcula Lumbarda

Island Hvar Hotel Hvar (ex hotel Mina)in Jelsa

Crikvenica

Google the above names and see for accomodations.

It is a bit late for this season to find free acc. at the beach.

make sure your do your research re. sandy beaches - sometimes they can be hard to find around the dubrovnik /dalmatia areas. Lots have just pebbles, or some have just great big concrete slabs with loungers on them. Others just have a ladder going down into very deep water.

|||

Whales, the above that I named are real sandy beaches and do not match your description.

|||

Have a look on www.croatian-beaches.com

|||

jelsa

I am just alerting bargain-hunted to do research if she is looking for sandy beaches - if you check the post she lists it as very important.

Just don%26#39;t want her to think that whereever she goes, she will have a sandy beach - she won%26#39;t.

She doesnt mention exactly where she is going in Croatia - so I just wanted to alert her. No harm in her being aware about the beach situation.

|||

Neither do I, I mentioned just few REAL sandy beaches.

Bargain, when my kids were little I avoided sandy beaches , because there are many bacteries in the warm and damp sand. At least, don%26#39;t let the little ones sit down naked.

|||

okay great - so whats the problem?

|||

I don%26#39;t see any, do you?

For me the best of the best sandy beaches is on island Susak, but no villas etc.

|||

no, I thought you did LOL
