Hieveryone.......................................... after a trip to Turkey this september, i am planning a 6 days trip to croatia...........just wondering why most people do not spend more than one day in Zagre?.....dubroknik or split(or both?)....??

We usually spend a couple of days in Zagreb. I guess its all about what you want--- I think most people want to spend more of their time on the coast. I do like Zagreb though. And Dubrovnik or Split--- I would definitely say more time should be spent in Dubrovnik. A night in Split would be more than enough in my opinion.

split is a good base for exploring the region: day trips to Sibenik, Krka, even Plitvice, Zadar, islands...

Split is much more central in a country that is an unusual shape with a long but very skinny coastline along 2/3 of it. I%26#39;ve been to Split and Dubrovnik several times but it has not occurred to me to visit Zagreb - it seems a long way off from Split by bus or car or train.
