This is our very first time in Europe and will be in Split Sept 10 on a cruise, we opt out of doing the excursion so we can be adventurous, any suggestions anyone? Thanks in advance

I say just wander around Diocletian%26#39;s Palace in the time that you have..maybe have dinner or something also.

Hello,
usually the local agencies (Atlas or Elite) organizing the excursion for the guests from the cruisers coming to Split.... Buses waiting in the port and takes you for tour to UNESCO town Trogir, then Salona, and most of the times there is Split-walking tour (2h max.) included in the tour and the price. I do believe that on the cruiser it will be some offer for this.
