We are going to be travelling on the Jadrolinija ferry from Hvar to Dubrovnik in September. This journey takes place during the day. Is it worth getting a cabin still? What are the options if we don%26#39;t? Any recommendations on what is best way to travel on these ferries during day - is about a 7hour journey.

I wouldn%26#39;t pay for a cabin, I would sit out on the deck of the ferry and take in all the sites, go into the restaurant and have something to eat, and go back out onto the deck.

No, as Barry said.
Only if you have in mind certain privacy demanding activities

Well as Jelsa says, it depends how Perky you feel the need to be! It%26#39;s a fantastic journey not to be wasted sitting inside a cabin. Loads of places to sit inside and out. We did Dubrovnik to Split - even longer - take a book, walk around, have a coffee or a meal. Great scenery, you get to admire Korcula, see the Peljesac peninsula etc.

If you are not getting a cabin, do you have to book the ferry between Hvar and Dubrovnik in advance or can you just show up?

No bookings for passengers, only for cars!
