Hi,
my wife and I (with teenager) are spending 5 nights in Dubrovnik in October and are tossing up between Apartment Silva and Apartment Kate. They both sound gorgeous.
We are a little confused about the mention of the terrace in Silva and was wondering whether anyone has stayed there and if so what was the terrace like.
Any comments or thoughts would be appreciated.
Have a gorgeous day.

I looked up both of these and here are my thoughts. Apartment Silva definitely has a perfect location in my opinion, but it doesn%26#39;t look like it has a terrace from the pictures provided. Apartment Kate has a terrace, but its location is quite aways from the Old Town. It also looks like Silva is going to be less expensive. I would take Silva in a heartbeat, even without the terrace.

Silva has a terrace on the first floor. It is not a private terrace, and quite frankly, nothing you would probably use. The views are spectacular, and the apartment is nice for a family witha teenager as there are two bedrooms and they arent next to each other so you wont have to listen to his/her music.
Seriously though, Silva is great. But if you want a private terrace to relax on, it is not your place.

Thanks Barry Mannilow and tmacew for your expert advice. You guys are great.
We have since checked and note that Apartment Silva is booked out for our period of interest. We have now booked at Apartment Previsic which also looks great.
Thanks again for your help.
Cheers

Happy to help. I relied on this forum to plan our honeymoon and received great advice. Everywhere we stayed was great and exactly what was recommended by people on here. So I am happy to return the favor. Enjoy Dubrovnik.
