Driving from Dubrovonik to Orebic - scary?

Hi, Can anyone tell me how easy is it to drive from Dubrovonik to Orebic, is it easy to find the route, how scary is it, are you on the edge of a cliff??

the drive is scary enough that hundreds of people do it a day, thousands in the summers. If you are worried about driving on the edge of the cliff as you head down the hill to Orebic, I would suggest you not look at the amazing view of korcula and lastovo, and just keep your eyes on the road. hundreds of thousands have done it and survived...

Just back from Croatia and we drove from Dubrovnik to Mostar and back and also from Dubrovnik to Split....well lets just say there is not an abundance of railings along the cliff top roads, however the views are amazing and completely worth any fear you may feel. Also since you are only driving from Dubrovnik to Orebic you will be on the right hand side of the road and will have another car lane between you and the cliff edge!!!

Like here in Ireland, don’t let drivers intimidate you if/when they drive right behind…take your time and avail of the rest-points along the way to enjoy the view, also there are a few small beaches (flat stony areas) along that part of the road which you could stop into for a quick swim ... very good for relieving any tension you may have in driving in the area ;)

It is a beautiful drive and well worth it..have fun.

thanks for that, I think as you said it is worth the views and its great to have the freedom to stop along the way where you want, just have to get away from this rain!!

i have driven twice from Dubrovnik to orebic and i must say that it scared the living daylights out of me..i can drive anywhre but this cliff edge drive is not normal and it got to me . i was a wreck after i arrived to orebic . the views are breathtaking and orebic is probably the nicest village or town in croatia , so it was worth it . i am doing it again at the end of august, two weeks time and the more often you do it , the easier it gets (i hope )

ANY SUGGESTIONS FROM ANYONE ON ACCOMODATION IN OREBIC .
