Toilet facilities in the Old City

Hi!

Very soon I%26#39;m going to Cavtat with my family, we are planning a day in the old city in Dubrovnik. But my son has problems with his blather and has to go to the bathroom very often. Are there good toilet facilities in the Old City?

There is a public toulette right next to the Old Port, near Ploče Gate.

See the map here, WC sign is close to number 8.

Thank you for the fast answer, do anyone know if it is a toilet on the boat between Cavtat and Dubrovnik?

Don%26#39;t know that, sorry.

there are many different boats that you use going from Cavtat to Dubrovnik - you should ask at the harbour in Cavtat if they do have a toilet.

its a 40 minute ride on the boat - so maybe if your son went just before the boat left - the cafe%26#39;s are right beside the harbour he would be okay until he gets to Dubrovnik harbour.

there are public toilets at the harbour - they are the stand up ones tho (for girls) and I don%26#39;t like them, but I don%26#39;t think men have a problem in that area.

the boats are small enough going to and from , I have never been in a toilet there but I never looked for one on the boat either.

Just ask which would be the best boat to take.

Hi Ben

There are loads of cafes and restaurants in the old town and most of them have toilets where you can just go in, so do not worry, you will love it I have been twice already this year and am back there in 19 days.

I was in Dubrovnik at the weekend (wonderful place) and we got the boat over to Cavtat.

It takes a bit longer than the advertised 40 mins as it makes several stops along the way but was great fun (and quite rough!)

The boat we went with was Adrianna (that%26#39;s the company name rather than the boat name), although there were loads to choose from. It cost 80 kuna return and was pretty basic with definitely no toliets or facilities of any kind!

Hi Ben1234

I think the journey time on the ferry is more like an hour. I am not sure about toilets on the boat. We used a small one and I don%26#39;t think there was a loo. You could always go in on the local bus. The service is not too bad from Cavtat and it takes about 30 mins. If you watch where you are going you can get off going down a hill close to the Old Town and then it%26#39;s about a 10 minute downhill walk. The driver did stop and shout %26#39;Old Town%26#39; when we went so if you try to sit near the front you should be okay. If you do not get off you will go to the terminus and then have to catch a connection to the Old Town.

Enjoy! It%26#39;s great! Cavtat is lovely and so is Dubrovnik.

you need to check with the boat company and ask them which is the 40 minute ride. Some boats will stop at each hotel to pick up and drop off.
