Anyone been there? It%26#39;s near narona/metrovic about a couple hours from Split. The name Vid, is my family%26#39;s name. I noticed in the online phonebook there were many Vids all over Croatia. I will be in Croatia for 22 days hoping to find some answers. Does anyone know if this a common name in Croatia? Thanks for taking the time to read this. Linda/

Yes, Vid is pretty common FIRST name in Croatia, not so common as a family name though, but there are some. You think your family is from Croatia?

Vid is in a very nice area near Neretva river, you can visit it combined with visiting Međugorje and/or Mostar.
For evtl. looking for roots the best would be to contact the local church.

Antic place Narona , today calling Vid !
Am not 100% sure is there%26#39;s any families-Vid.
Ma father is born there., they serve to Lady Madonna of snow,. so 05.08.08 they had excellent fiesta in town.
You should visit Antic ROma museum, also try river Safari in domestic boats. you gonna enjoy.For accommodation,I may suggest you Villa Solo on Bacina lakes, 20 min from Vid.
