Croatian honeymoon

My fiance and I will be getting married in italy next may and are thinking about taking a honeymoon in croatia, probably on the coast. Any ideas about places to consider, highlights not to miss and possible travel arangements would be appreciated. Time wil probably be one to two weeks. Thanks in advance.

I would usually say go to a place such as Dubrovnik or Korcula, but since you are in Italy, I would say that you should just go in Istria somewhere. Look at Rovinj or someplace like that.

if you are interested in Dalmatia, I would recommend places heading in to Split and staying in a place like trogir and then looking into some of the islands liek Brac, Hvar, Vis, Korcula, and make your way down to Dubrovnik. There are many posts on this board that can help you with itineraries similar to this, as such a trip is the typical dalmatian coast trip (or going north starting in Dubrovnik and ending in the Split area). I would certainly be happy to help you if you message me as I had my honeymoon in Dalmatia recently. But Barry mention%26#39;s Istria which is also supposed to be wonderful.

Once you do more initial research (one suggestion: http://islands.zesoi.fer.hr/), I%26#39;ll be happy to give more feedback, but it partially depends on where in Italy you%26#39;ll be coming from, as there are also ferries from Ancona to Split and Bari to Dubrovnik--both popular coastal destinations.

After doing some more research I have some more details. I have narrowed my search to either the Rovinj area or the split area. We will be getting married in amalfi, so I think probably a train to the east coast and then a ferry to croatia. My second option, if the arrangments become too complicated, is to stay on the amalfi coast and tour around southern italy.

If you are getting married in Amalfi then I would suggest you are probably best off on the Dalmatian coast. If you were getting married in Northern Italy, round Venice say, I would certainly suggest Rovinj. However Istria is a long way from Amalfi.
