we are planning to fly into zadar the first week in oct and getting a car so we can get to know the country, we would like to end up in cavtat, we will be getting in late the first nite so any suggestions on a place to stay, should we get a car at the airport or wait til next day as we would like to see zadar as well, is one day enough in zadar,what are the roads like and is it easy to follow the map,also what clothing would be appropriate as we are hoping it will be warm,

Templars going to zadar and not visiting Templar fortresses in the vicinity? :))) Zadar is definitely woth at least two nights. get a car the first day and stay at Bastion or Kolovare so you can walk to the Old Town. The roads are good and there will be no problems. We hope it will still be quite warm but still be ready for rain since that is the beginning of the rainy winters (usually)
