Does anyone know if it is possible to buy rye sourdough in Split, or on the islands. What is the Croatian name for it? I am allergic to wheat, and would prefer not to bring bread from home with me. Thanks.

No, I don%26#39;t need gluten-free, I just have a problem with wheat, and my boyfriend can%26#39;t eat yeast, so rye sourdough is perfect for both of us.

I see, you can find that bread in bigger supermarkets or order it for the next day. It is packed and can last several days.I doubt that it can be found on the islands. Bring some with you to be on the safe side.
I cannot tell exactly for Split, maybe you will not find both in one, I mean maybe there will be wheat bread without yeast, or rye bread with yeast.
You can also find all kind of flour and make it by yourself-it is simple if %26lt;you will stay somewhere in private apartments with kitchen.
