How Long to Stay

I%26#39;m thinking of going to Dubrovnik next July and was wondering how long most people stay for. I%26#39;m also planning on doing the Greek Islands, so I don%26#39;t want to spend too much time in Dubrovnik. And also, how are the crowds in July? And, are there any sites, like day trips to islands or other cities around Dubrovnik, that are worth visiting?

I would think that four to five days would be a good amount of time in Dubrovnik, with a day trip or two to places such as Mostar in Herzegovina or Kotor in Montenegro. Also you could look into taking a day trip to an island or two- such as Korcula or Mljet.

In July it will be very very crowded in Dubrovnik and many cruise ships will dump off their passengers so they can experience Dubrovnik too.
