little time what to do

Myself and 7 seven friends are on a cruise docking in Split early September. We only have a few hours there and was wondering if there is perhaps an open top bus tour around the city and what would the cost be?

There did seem to be an open bus tour, we did nt use it, and on balance, given your time constraints I think you would get more out of Split walking around the key parts yourself. Split is very easy to navigate and enjoy even on a tight schedule as its a %26#39;living breathing%26#39; monument - with a market, bars, restraunts, shops and houses all contained within or adjoining the old palace, along with the Cathedral and other interesting historical/ cultural points of note.

make sure you have time for a drink or two in different locations to soak up the atmosphere, especailly within the palace complex and along the waterfront area near the ferry terminal and in front of the original palace ouer wall.

No need--the main highlights are all within walking distance (the waterfront, the palace, etc.)

I agree, just wander through Diocletian%26#39;s Palace.

a few hours is perfect. Wander the palace and have a drink. You will see it all.
