Split to Dubrovnik Ferry/catamaran help

We are arriving in Split late on Saturday,Sept 13 and I%26#39;d like to spend at least a full day there. We would leave Split sometime between late Sunday, Sept 14 and Sept 16 as we must be in Dubrovnik on Tuesday, Sept 16. If we take the ferry/catamaran from Split to Dubrovnik, would it be worth it to stop off one night at either Hvar or Korcula? Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Yes. But you have several choices. You don%26#39;t have loads of time so choose and either are good. Some places don%26#39;t like you staying only one night so I would try and book ahead. The big international ferry does go on Tuesdays from Split-Stari Grad (Hvar)-Korcula-Dubrovnik so you could pick it up from either. However, if you get the cat in the first place be aware that the ferry uses Stari Grad and the cat Hvar Town on Hvar, whilst on Korcula the ferry goes to Korcula Town but the cat to Vela Luka. So you may have to travel between places although the buses are easy to use. HOwever, Krilo also run a cat between Split-Hvar-Korcula and I think that is to Korcula Town and Hvar Town - look them up on the net. Use the http://www.jadrolinija.hr/ website for the other ferry/cat times.

don%26#39;t take ferry because you loose to much time on it,whole day.travel with rent a car or bus ,it%26#39;s only 220 km,4 hours max on croatian road...and stop wherever you want...there are bunch of beutiful places on the coast...don%26#39;t have to go to islands if you have no time
