We will be staying in Hvar for 4 days and nights and wondered if we coudl take a ferry to Bol to the beach Zlatni Rat. How long would it take. I am a bit confused are Bol and Brac the same island? Thank You

Bol is a town on Brac. It is directly across the Hvar channel from Hvar. I believe that the cat goes between Jelsa (Hvar) and Bol (Brac). Depending where you are staying on Hvar, it would mean that you have to get to Jelsa. Another possibility is a private excursion. I stayed in Bol and there were a number of excursion companies which conducted day trips to Hvar, so I am assuming that on Hvar there are a number of excursions to Bol.

You can make it by regular catamaran line only from Jelsa, it is much cheaper than organized excursions, but you have to be there in the port of Jelsa at 6am, the return is in the afternoon.
If you will be in Hvar town than go for an organised daytrip.
