I will be visiting Dubrovnik and Split in September- a short visit (we are cruising the Adriatic). In the ports of call on the rest of the cruise, we will be able to use Euros. Can these be used in Croatia?
Perhaps it would be better to bring some Croatian currency. The amount is a problem asbecause of the limited hours we have ashore we dont want to waste time finding banks etc. Any other advice on places to visit would be appreciated

I would definately want to have kuna, but I understand your dilemna. If you are bringing your bank card along, you could just get out kuna for the day from any of a numbers of ATM machines in Dubrvnik. They dispense the money in kuna and withdraw it from your account in pounds. You can check with your bank on transaction fees. But if you are just there for one day, I would recommend using an ATM and withdrawing kuna.

You can%26#39;t really use Euro in Croatia except for accommodation. You can get it at home from your bank and in the Marks %26amp; Spencer bureau de change (the bigs ones have it in). I see your point about not running around to find ATMs although there are a good number.
