Going to Dubrovnik is Sept, are euros accepted ?

Going to Dubrovnik in Sept, are euros widely accepted and are there many atm machines?

Get Kunas, they will be accepted by EVERYONE. And yes there are many ATM%26#39;s in Dubrovnik.

yes you can take Euros, but i wuld get Kunas, you may need to order them a week in advance, where are you staying ?

Just bough Kunas from local Amex office, without booking in advance ...

Why would you need to get kunas ahead of arrival? Can%26#39;t you get kunas from an ATM? or easily exchange euros at a bank?

Just want to be sure ...

NH13, I guess you%26#39;re better off to have some when you arrive so you have cash for the bus/taxi/a cup of coffee without having to go in search of an ATM

no Euros are not widely accepted just like Kuna is not widely accepted in Ireland.

Kuna is their currency - they do have ATM machines - change some Kuna before you go, and then get Kuna from the ATM machines - forget your Euros except at the duty free.

I got charged a fortune when I got some from an ATM?

change your money in Croatia in Ireland at the moment you will only get a little over 6 Kuna for 1 Euro - in Croatia you will get over 7 Kuna for 1 Euro

Does any one know what the exchange for £s is at the moment in Croatia please?

It depends on your bank, but usually the lowest currency conversion fee is usually with your credit card. If you owe money on your card you will get charges for taking money out on it, but if you have enough money in your account to cover the withdrawal then there may be a lower or no fee. Debit Cards can have a higher conversion fee and also a commission charge.

It all depends on your bank but the above applies to most banks in Ireland anyway.
