My husband and I are planning to drive either south from Zagreb to Dubrovnik or north from Dubronik to Zagreb (and stopping in Split, Zadar, etc. on the way).
Is there a recommended direction? Is the scenery better when you drive in a southward or northward direction? Or does it make a difference?
We plan to either pick up a rental car in Zagreb and drop it off in Dubrovnik, or vice versa. The Croatia Airlines schedule is better for us if we fly from Zagreb to Dubrovnik, pick up the car there, and then drive north and drop off the car in Zagreb, but if the views are much better driving south, we would do that instead.

There really isn%26#39;t a difference which direction you take, it%26#39;s pretty much the same! So I would go with one that suits your schedule better (re planes)

Going from Dubrovnik to Zagreb will put you on the inside of the coastal highway and further away from the guard rails, if that makes a difference to you? Personally I would rather end the trip in Dubrovnik, but in terms of scenery, I don%26#39;t think it makes much of a difference which way you travel.
