Is there any good reason to stay on Korcula? Hotel reports look bad.

Can you see everything on a day trip?

Korcula is a beautiful island and the reason you would not get good hotel reports is that most of the hotels here are owned by the government and have not been updated for years !! The only one that has been refurbished up to an excellent standard is the Hotel Marco Polo. The majority of people coming to Korcula either rent a private room or apartment when staying here and you can get these for only one night if you wish.

As to seeing everything in one day - you may be able to have a walk around centre of Korcula and see old town etc but to see all of Korcula would recommend more days.

u look for the great hotels? How nice from you? Do u have $1 000 to spend daily? If u got, you can start build your on Hotel on the Island of the Korcula - be my guest!

I recommend private accommodation, it is very familiar in Croatia. You will meet the real local people on that way. www.hostelbookers.com is good place to start!
