Honey

Forgot to ask in my previous post, are there any good local honeys, we like to sample these where ever me go. My husband is addicted to honey!

Don%26#39;t buy honey in supermarkets, only in specialised shops or directly by the producers, anyway honey with prioducers%26#39; name, I mean a person%26#39;s name on it and not made by some Ltd( in Croatian d.o.o.)Some producers sell on the green markets too. Good honey costs 50-70 KUNA/jar cca 1 kg.

All Dalmatian honey is good, maybe best known is the one of Salvia Officinalis-in Croatian KADULJA.

Good honey ryou can find in Lika area(Gospić, Senj)and in Kvarner-Lovran the dark honey of marrons.

MEDICA is a great short drink- grappa with honey, also made by honey producers in North Adriatic.
