I am torn! It looks like there is availability at the Riva and the Amfora for my travel dates, but I have also found accommodations at a small apartment that looks nice (at least online) that is a ten minute walk from town. Best to stay in the city at a more %26quot;posh%26quot; hotel to really experience Hvar?

Not sure what you%26#39;re looking for bcq78, but TripAdvisor%26#39;s traveler reviews of Hvar hotels should help.

just back today from the amfora, i can totally recommend it. we had a ball. the riva i would nt like as i think its too slap bang in the middle of everything. thats just my opinion, we liked the easy 7/8 min stroll into the centre of town every evening. villa nora looked very nice , i guess you have to decide if you want the faclities of a hotel or not .

Between the Amfora and the Riva I would prefer the Amfora, it has resort character. You can read my review.
Both hotels have incredibly small rooms !

Don%26#39;t know when you are going - but if you expect Hot weather stay at Amfora. They have a beautiful pool and a wonderful property. The walk into town is five or six minutes along the shoreline - everyone is out walking. Villa Nora is ok - but does not touch the Amfora. The Riva is nice but in town not the grounds of the Amfora and the peace and quiet when you get back to your room. Enjoy!
