Visiting Trebinje from Dubrovnik

I am going to be in Dubrovnik in early October, and would like to visit Trebinje.

Can anyone advise me on the best way to do this?

It would seem that there is only one bus leaving at 13.30. This means missing the morning market in Trebinje. And the only return bus arrives in Dubrovnik at 10.40am. I don%26#39;t want to spend the night in Trebinje as I have accommodation booked in Dubrovnik.

I didn%26#39;t really want to hire a car, and I%26#39;ve read somewhere that cars with Croat plates can get their windows smashed if left in Trebinje - is this really true?

Also I heard that Croatian taxi drivers do not take fares to Trebinje.

Any help or advice would be appreciated!

I have parked my car with Dubrovnik plates in Trebinje for long periods on many occasions and I never had a problem. It is only a 30 minute drive on a quiet but good road should you decide to hire a car.

I suggest you email info@taxiservicedubrovnik.com and check whether they take fares to Trebinje.

Thank you donalog for your reply.

Also topping in case anyone else has any other advice.

I will post back if I get there - to tell you all how and why etc.

I can hire a car for 50 euros plus another 50 euros for the cross border card - though that seems quite a lot really.
