Restaurants in Trogir

I have compiled the following list of restaurants in Trogir (it%26#39;s long, I know). Can anyone comment, help me narrow it down or add a good one?

Kamerlengo, quality fish and meat from an outdoor grill, just behind the Dominican church.

Restaurant Fontana - overlooks the front.

Restaurant Mirine for fish and scampi, in the center of town.

Restaurant ACY - cross the bridge - in ACY Marina Trogir

Restaurant Monika.

Corado restaurant

Retaurants and pizzeria Capo

Restaurant Alka

Restaurant Skrapa - good fish in a relaxed atmosphere.

Bistro Lucica

Top Balloon

Lucica: Dalmatian cuisine on Ciovo

For music try Caffe Bar Smokvica

Thanks, DC, for this and the Vis response.

you%26#39;re quite welcome--there%26#39;s a little square in Trogir with cafes and ice cream shops (%26quot;slasticarnica%26quot;)--lovely place for the latter or a wine or beer.

Pizza Mrkec - follow the sign from the Riva. Always had great pasta and pizza and open in the winter (as in Fontana).

I returned from Trogir this morning after staying there for one night. There are lots of tourist restaurants there which certainly didn%26#39;t appeal to me. However, I did eat at Restaurant Alka yesterday evening. There were tourists there, but the standard was good, and the waiters were very friendly (they also had a good line in banter with the customers without being overbearing). It%26#39;s been there for 40 years, and after having spoken to our waiter, we found out they do a lot of the catering for the Croatian embassy in Prague as well. Just out of interest, we walked past Monika, and thought their courtyard looked very nice, but the smell coming from their kitchen window was far too reminiscent of an English fish and chip shop for my liking (and I am English!).

We visited Trogir last year for 3 nights and the best meal we had was at Fontana. Nice location on the front and we shared a delicious platter of seafood in sauce.

As a rule we found the fish and seafood (particularly the mussels) in Dalmatia to be excellent but the meat tended to be not so good (often over cooked for my taste).
