Hello everyone -
What is weather normally like in late Oct, is it possible to count on warm (and dry) days, or is this risky to plan a holiday at that time?
And the water temperature, is it still warm enough for a swim (esp for kids)?
We are thinking of going to somewhere like Nin with its shallow paddle-friendly areas, but are open to any other recommendations.
thanks!

Maybe it is a little late for swimming in second half of Oct, but if you will be lucky with weather and go to a destination with shallow water beaches, it could be possible. In late season I swimm on the beaches Mina or Grebišće-outside Jelsa -sandy beaches warm till late in the autumn due to the shallow sea.
Go souther than Nin if swimming is important for you.

Zadar is a good place to visit in October but usually its habitans doesn%26#39;t go to swimm in the late October. Zadar is exposed to the wind and it%26#39;s not very warm at the and of October. It%26#39;s wonderful in anycase because you can take a walk in the morning along the coast and need maybe only a pulover. If you have a car, I reccommand the whole area of Borik, Punta Mika, Zaton, Nin e Petrcane. Visit it all. And have a nice trip!
